Over the three exhibition days, MITT 2025 was visited by about 16.5 thousand people. More than 1,000 exhibitors from 54 regions of Russia and 34 countries took part in the event . Among them were national and regional pavilions, hotel chains, IT and airlines, leading tour operators, aggregators and agencies, and many other players in the tourism market. This year, the exposition covered 17.5 thousand square meters.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko sent an address to the participants of MITT 2025. He noted Russia's enormous potential for the dynamic development of tourism and the hospitality industry, due to the diversity of climatic zones, unique routes and rich cultural heritage.
"The tourism sector has a multiplier effect on the economy and contributes to the development of more than 50 related industries. By decision of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" is being implemented in Russia. The goal has been set to increase the contribution of tourism to the country's GDP to 5% by 2030 and ensure an increase in the number of domestic tourist trips to 140 million. Within the framework of the national project, the necessary conditions are being created for the development of tourism infrastructure, including through the construction of federal year-round resorts of the "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" project, as well as personnel training and the promotion of national tourism products," Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized .
He also expressed confidence that the discussion of key issues of tourism development on the sidelines of the exhibition will contribute to solving the industry’s current problems.
Events such as MITT contribute to improving the quality of tourism and increasing tourist flow, said Mokhmad Akhmadov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, at the opening ceremony. "The largest exhibition in Russia and the near abroad has been gathering professionals for over thirty years who are ready to present new proposals and effective solutions in the hospitality industry. Currently, there is an increase in domestic tourism, which is becoming increasingly popular due to the interest of citizens in the rich history, culture, traditions, and unique natural resources of our country ," he noted.
Mr. Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, said that such a large-scale event as the MITT exhibition is a special event for Oman, as the country is participating for the first time. “We are pleased to reveal the tourism potential of our destination. The connection between Oman and Russia is getting stronger, and we are pleased to welcome tourists from Russia ,” he emphasized.
The agreements reached on the sidelines of MITT help develop the Russian tourism business and strengthen international cooperation, said MITT Director Maxim Shilov. He thanked the exhibition participants for filling the exposition with the colors of their countries and regions, and the business program with unique content that attracts thousands of professional visitors every year. "But the most important thing is that we work to make people happier, to give them emotions, helping to open new routes," Maxim Shilov added .
Vadim Trukshin, CEO of Mantera Group, agrees with him : "I would characterize recent years in tourism as a triumph of human-centeredness. Guest happiness is impossible without employee happiness – and this is one of the big challenges facing everyone who works in our industry. Tourism is not just an industry. It is an opportunity to create memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. This is an economy in which emotions have not only value, but also a price."
