Autotourism has long been a favorite travel format for Russian tourists. However, most prefer the beaten path and famous large cities. Meanwhile, the real treasures are hidden literally nearby - in the outback of the central part of Russia. In the Ryazan region, a special route "Big Ryazan Ring" is being developed for such travelers. This road was laid back in the early 1960s. Today it encircles the region, connecting 12 municipalities, its length is 600 kilometers. Some pass them in a day, others divide the path into five days so that not a single detail escapes attention.
The ring closes in Ryazan: it is logical to start here and return here, but it is easy to get on the route from neighboring Tula, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Tambov, Lipetsk. An ideal option to spend a weekend or a full vacation traveling by private car.
The "Big Ryazan Ring" runs through three natural zones and introduces the rich heritage of the region. The route is suitable for lovers of different types of tourism:
