Uganda Strengthens Its Presence at MITT 2026

The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the Russian Federation is pleased to announce Uganda’s prominent participation at MITT 2026 - Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition, taking place from 11–13 March 2026.

For the 2026 edition, Uganda will exhibit with a large national stand featuring more than 20 leading Ugandan tour operators, hospitality brands, safari lodges, cultural tourism organisations, and adventure experience providers. This represents Uganda’s largest delegation to MITT to date and underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening tourism, trade, and cultural ties with the Russian market.

Uganda – widely celebrated as “The Pearl of Africa” - will present its world-renowned tourism experiences, including mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Mgahinga, savanna safaris in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale, adventure activities on the River Nile, rich cultural heritage across 56+ tribes, and breathtaking landscapes from Lake Bunyonyi to the Rwenzori Mountains. These attractions, highlighted in Uganda’s official tourism showcase materials, continue to position the country as one of Africa’s premier destinations.

The national stand at MITT 2026 will offer B2B visitors the opportunity to meet Uganda’s top tourism providers, learn about new travel products, establish partnerships, and gain first-hand insights into the country’s expanding tourism infrastructure ranging from luxury hotels to unique safari lodges and adventure circuits.

H.E. Moses Kizige, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to Russia, commented:
“We are delighted to return to MITT with a stronger and larger presence. The Russian market is increasingly discovering Uganda’s unique wildlife, nature, and cultural experiences, and our participation in MITT 2026 demonstrates our long-term commitment to building sustainable tourism cooperation between our two countries.”
