We welcomed 159,000 Russian tourists to Malaysia in 2025, and we expect this number to continue growing. This marks our 16th year participating in MITT, with nine sub-exhibitors on our stand. This year, we have observed a noticeable increase in visitor numbers.
We received a high number of enquiries at our stand at MITT, and the response was overwhelming. We thoroughly enjoyed the show.
MITT has been an excellent experience, with strong visitor engagement and continuous activity at our stand. We've received numerous business inquiries, and our co-exhibitors are seeing great results as well. It's a vibrant platform to connect, promote, and build valuable relationships.
We have been observing the Russian market for some time and recently began actively promoting Namibia here. Our experience at MITT has been very positive, with strong engagement from media, tour operators, and agents. There has been significant interest in Namibia throughout the exhibition.
This was a highly productive fair. We held excellent meetings with Russian tour operators and airlines, and received very positive feedback from our co-exhibiting partners, including hotels and DMCs, who reported strong business results at MITT.
This is our third time participating in MITT, and we have seen steady growth in the number of Russian tourists visiting Uganda since our first attendance. This year, we expanded our presence with a larger stand and brought 22 Ugandan tour operators with us. It has been a great success, with deals already in the process of being signed. Uganda is now part of BRICS, and we are keen to further strengthen trade and tourism relations between our countries.
It is our first time at MITT. We had a lot of meetings from morning to evening. I feel very happy about the number and quality of visitors, they are serious about doing business in Oman.
The exhibition is growing every year, this year we met more tour operators and new travel agents. Cuba is one of the major tourist destinations on the Russian market, and participating in MITT every year was key to our success.
It's very easy to travel to MITT from Kenya. We spoke with many new visitors, as well as familiar contacts from our database. The response has been excellent. Russia is a huge market for us. I've learned a lot about consumer preferences and will return next year.
